MUSLIM EDUCATIONAL SOCIETY |

The college is managed by the Muslim Educational Society, the largest educational agency of Muslim Community in India, having thousands of institutions. The society, started under the great leadership of late Dr.P.K.Abdul Gafoor in 1964 at Calicut, was supported by a large number of professionals and business men and within a short span of time it spread to different parts of India and set up institutions even abroad.
M.E.S. Kalladi College is the first Arts and Science College started by the society.

The college started functioning as a junior college in 1967. University of Calicut permitted to start degree classes during 1971-1972 in History, Economics, Mathematics, Botany and Commerce. The affiliation for B.Sc Chemistry course was granted in 1976. The college was upgraded as Post Graduate College in 1978 with the introduction of M.Com. Affiliation for BA Islamic History and Arabic was granted in 1979. M.Sc Chemistry was started in 1981 and M.A History in 1984. In 1993 B.Sc Physics was started, M.Sc (Mathematics) in 1995 - 96, M.A (Economics) in 1998 - 99, BBA in 1999 - 2000 and M.Sc Physics in 2001 - 2002. Silver Jubilee of the college was celebrated in 1992. The college has been accredited for a period of 5 years with B++ grade (institutional score above 80%) by the NAAC in 2004.
