The 9 (K) Naval NCC |

The 9 (K) Naval NCC unit was initiated in MES KALLADI College Mannarkkad in 1984 as troop No. 6 senior Lecturer Salim K.H. was the first A N O and had 50 cadets under his wing. The co operation and background work done by the, then army ANO II/Lt M. SAFARUDHEEN to sanction this unit is remarkable.in 1996 Mr. SALIM relinquished his post and Mr.K P .ABDUL RAHMAN became the care taker ANO in 1997 Mr K. GOPALAKRISHNAN Lecturer in mathematics became the care taker ANO.

The aims and objectives of NCC were stringently observed from its formative years. The annual procedures every academic year were carried with stringnent direction from head office at Calicut. Every year cadets are sent to ATC at unit level and to the various National Level Camps including NIC, Trecking expeditions RD Camps, Advance Leadership Camps and Nvasainik Camp. Every year we train students in firing using 0.22 rifle. The continous training in the day to day camps imparts discipline and other good qualities required for a brave citizen among student. |
